TaekitSafe Shipping Protection
Coverage terms, filing windows and claims
Last Updated: October, 2026
TaekitSafe Shipping Protection is an optional add-on you can choose once per order at checkout. This page sets out what it covers, how long you have to file, what you need to send us, and how a claim is decided.
The version published when your order was placed is the version that applies to that order.
1. TaekitSafe Shipping Protection
TaekitSafe Shipping Protection is an optional service offered directly by Taekit Medical to provide additional peace of mind when your order ships. For a one-time fee per order, shown at checkout (currently $3.00), eligible shipments receive additional protection against loss, theft, or damage during delivery, subject to the terms and limitations of this program.
TaekitSafe coverage is provided through shipping insurance purchased by Taekit Medical from EasyPost for each protected shipment. When you file a claim, Taekit submits it to EasyPost, which reviews and decides it under its shipping insurance terms. Approved claims are resolved by Taekit Medical.
When You're Charged: The protection fee is collected only after your order has been approved through Taekit's medical assessment and prescription approval process. If your order is declined, you will not be charged for Shipping Protection, and no coverage will take effect.
Payment Restrictions: Gift cards and store credits cannot be used to purchase TaekitSafe Shipping Protection.
2. What is covered
A shipment is covered when the order included TaekitSafe Shipping Protection, the order has shipped, and the shipping address is in the United States. The covered losses are:
- Lost — the carrier has no delivery scan and the kit is not received.
- Misdelivered — a delivery scan exists, but the package went to the wrong address or was left where it could not be retrieved.
- Stolen — the package was taken from the delivery location after a delivery scan, before you took possession of it.
- Damaged in shipping — the kit arrives damaged, or would obviously have been damaged, because of handling in transit.
3. Coverage limit
- Up to the item value of the kit — currently $300.00 for a Male or Female Taekit Box.
- Shipping charges ($9.95 Standard, $24.95 Express), the $3.00 protection fee, and any sales tax sit outside the covered amount.
- One claim per order, and one resolution per order.
4. How long you have to file
Every window below is counted in calendar days from the ship date (when the shipping label was created). Claims can be filed only once the order shows Shipped.
- Damaged in shipping — file within 30 calendar days of the ship date.
- Marked delivered but not received, or misdelivered — file within 30 calendar days of the ship date.
- Stolen — file within 30 calendar days of the ship date.
- No delivery scan (lost in transit) — file between 15 and 60 calendar days after the ship date, so the carrier has time to locate it.
No claim is accepted after these windows close. If a package is late but it is not yet 15 days since it shipped, email support@taekitmedical.com and we'll help track it.
5. What you need to submit
The claim form asks for the name on the order, the order number, the email on the order, the claim type, and a short description. Depending on the claim type, we may also ask for:
- Damaged in shipping: photos of the outer packaging with the shipping label visible, and photos of the case and its contents. Keep all packaging and contents until the claim closes.
- Not received or misdelivered: confirmation that you checked with everyone in the household, the building mailroom or concierge, and the carrier's delivery photo.
- Stolen: a police report number, or a mailroom, concierge, or apartment-management incident reference.
Taekit opens the carrier trace. You do not have to.
6. What is not covered
- Orders that did not include Shipping Protection, and orders that have not shipped.
- Loss before the carrier records an acceptance scan, and loss or damage caused by insufficient or improper packing or packaging. EasyPost's shipping insurance terms and exclusions apply.
- Late delivery. A shipment that arrives after its estimated date is not a covered loss.
- Addresses the customer supplied that are wrong or incomplete, deliveries that are refused, and packages returned to sender, unclaimed, or held past the carrier's retention period.
- Packages left where the customer, the recipient, or the building instructed the carrier to leave them.
- Loss, theft, or damage after the customer takes possession — including items taken from a vehicle, a porch after retrieval, or inside the home.
- Normal wear, dropping, or mishandling after delivery, and cosmetic marks that do not affect the case.
- Contents lost or damaged after the kit is received.
- Shipments outside the United States, and packages the customer redirects after ordering.
- Claims where the documentation above is not provided, or the customer cannot reasonably cooperate with the review.
- Losses already reimbursed by a carrier, a card issuer, a marketplace, or any other program.
- Claims containing false or misleading information.
7. How claims are decided and paid
We acknowledge a claim within 2 business days and give a decision within 5 business days of receiving everything we need.
If a claim is approved, Taekit chooses between a replacement kit in the same case color and box, subject to stock, or a refund of the item value to the original payment method. Refunds post within 5–7 business days of approval. If the case color is out of stock, the resolution is a refund.
If a claim is refused, we tell you why and who to contact.
8. Fraud, and changes to these terms
Shipping Protection is voided, and any refund reversed, for false or duplicate claims or for a pattern of claims. Accounts may be closed.
These terms may change. The version published when an order was placed is the version that applies to that order.
